Hook is a 1991 American fantasy adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg[3] and written by James V. Hart and Malia Scotch Marmo. It stars Robin Williams as Peter Banning / Peter Pan, Dustin Hoffman as Captain Hook, Julia Roberts as Tinker Bell, Bob Hoskins as Smee, Maggie Smith as Wendy, Caroline Goodall as Moira Banning, and Charlie Korsmo as Jack Banning. It acts as a sequel to J. M. Barrie's 1911 novel Peter and Wendy focusing on an adult Peter Pan who has forgotten all about his childhood. In his new life, he is known as Peter Banning, a successful but unimaginative and workaholic corporate lawyer with a wife (Wendy's granddaughter) and two children. However, when Captain Hook, the enemy of his past, kidnaps his children, he returns to Neverland in order to save them. Along the journey he reclaims the memories of his past and becomes a better person.

I'm born 1990 but this movie was a lovely part of my childhood, and I'm not the only one my age who feels that way :) I think the dividing gap starts at 1995 or something :D

The weird part is that Maggie Smith (old Wendy) was OLD IN THIS MOVIE years before she played in Harry Potter as Professor McGongangall. Like Morgan Freeman, some people been old since they were born

We had to do a scene from this movie in my theater class and one girl ruined the whole scene because she hadn't memorized her lines and it was painfully awkward. I was the light director and watched from above as the scene crashed and burned.

I'm sorry but I love this film. I tried to 're-evaluate' it as an adult but then I realised who the hell cares what others think. I loved this as a kid and I still do. There are shots in this film that Spielberg has no reason to be ashamed about. Goosebumps. And that score...……………...one of Williams' best.

Never been able to sit through the whole thing. It sucked when I was 10, and I assume it sucks now that I'm 38. Yup, defo one of Spielberg's few duffers. I wonder which is worse - this, 1941 or The Terminal. Hmmm.
